I'm very exited to be reviewing this limited edition Lush cosmetics Father's Day collection! Available online and in stores until the 4th of September 2016.
I'm sure you have all heard of Lush before and if you haven't, have you been living under a rock the past few years? All those sparkly bath bomb videos you see on your Facebook and Instagram timeline? Yeah 99% chance it's a Lush bath bomb they're using. If you are one of the few people who don't know about Lush and what they do, then the run down is that they're an amazing company that produce natural, handmade, vegan skincare and bath products and they don't test on animals!
These pieces are not only great for dad but also great for everyone else too. This collection features sandalwood essential oils which help soothe your body and leaves a wonderful aroma behind.
SuperDad bath bomb $6.95
Aside from the fact that my SuperDad arrived a bit crumbled (because of this I recommend buying this in store to risk the chance of this happening in freight) it still looked awesome, like something out of a comic book. It's is also huge, even for Lush's standards! It took around 30 to 40 minutes for it to fully dissolve, leaving behind a wonderful blue bath.
Smuggler's Soul Facial Scrub $22.95 & Smuggler's Soul Multipurpose Cream $29.95
Let's start of with the Smuggler's Soul Facial Scrub. I love this scrub, in fact it has become a part of my daily skincare routine! It contains bamboo granules that brighten and exfoliate the skin. When applying this scrub to your face you really feel it working into your skin as your massaging it in. It will leave your face feeling amazing and hydrated, a great skincare product for dad: It's quick, easy and effective!
The Smuggler's Soul Multipurpose cream can be used for just about anything including shaving it says, but I use it as hand cream. I love the strong sandalwood scent of this cream, it leaves my hands feeling soft and smelling great. Sandalwood is also a fixative for perfume, making it last longer on the skin, so I have been applying this on my wrists before spraying on my perfume.
Smuggler's Soul Shampoo Bar $14.95
This was my first time trying a shampoo bar from lush, I loved the look of this product it was very unique and pretty for lack of better word. This product is the perfect shampoo for dad and I'm going to tell you why. Instead of stealing the wives shampoo bottle he just has to grab for this shampoo bar instead and glide it over his hair, something fast and effective to use in the shower on the go. I feel this product leaves your hair feeling more clean at the roots compared to other storebrand shampoos.
I also used this shampoo bar to clean my makeup sponge and it worked a charm! I'm going to use it to clean my brushes next and keep you guys updated because I think this might be a great brush cleaner.
The Modfather Bubble Bar $7.50
Bubbles galore with a wonderful orange smell and blue bath, this bubble barmade for a very relaxing bath. If your dad loves baths as much as mine then I'm sure he will love this as a gift as well as the SuperDad bath bomb.
Thanks Dad Soap $6.95
"This soap smells like fresh orange juice" was my first thought smelling this. Seriously, fresh orange juice. So I wasn't that surprised when I found out that was one of the main ingredients, how cool! Dad will be left feeling and smelling very fresh after using this soap, he'll be the one thanking you!
My favourites out of this collection would have the be the Smuggler's Souls facial scrub and the Superdad bath bomb, it had such a versatile smell, perfect for everyone. Let me know your favourite product or what you're most interesting in trying from this collection in the comments below!
